Excited to have Doppler, Kona Ice, selfie station (FCCLA), trail mix bar (NHS), popcorn bar, , face painting (art club/NAHS), and more games* to join us this year! We will raffle $100 Visa gift card to a lucky SHS student who attends! We also plan to do a 50/50 raffle during the tailgate and up to the end of the first half for anyone in attendance. We will announce our winner for that before the 3rd quarter starts/at end of halftime.

As we gear up for another exciting school year, we want to ensure that everyone is prepared with the necessary school supplies. The school supply lists for the 2025-26 academic year are now available:

• All Elementary Schools
• Middle School
• High School

The preschool does not require a supply list.

We invite families to our open houses from July 31 to August 5, where you can meet our teachers and staff and get ready for the start of the 2025-26 school year. Families are welcome to come and go at their convenience during each open house.

Summer Bridge is a 2 day program to help rising 9th graders get acclimated to the physical layout of the school, meet and form relationships with current SHS students (Storm Ambassadors) and some staff and ask questions to relieve any concerns or anxieties about transitioning to high school. This summer the program will be June 20-21.

The Storm Marching Band recently placed 2nd and won Best Music in Class A at the JMU Parade of Champions. Last month, they performed in the Blast in the Draft competition at Stuarts Draft High School and won 1st place overall in Class A, 1st place in music and visual, 2nd place in general effect, and 3rd in percussion and color guard.
