We are excited to share that Staunton High School will host a College Fair on Wednesday, September 17 from 6:00–8:00 PM, with more than 50 colleges, universities, and technical schools from Virginia and beyond in attendance. The fair is open to all area high school students, giving our students a valuable chance to connect directly with admissions reps, ask questions, and explore their post-secondary options.

As we gear up for another exciting school year, we want to ensure that everyone is prepared with the necessary school supplies. The school supply lists for the 2025-26 academic year are now available:

• All Elementary Schools
• Middle School
• High School

The preschool does not require a supply list.

If you have questions, please get in touch with your child's school.

We invite families to our open houses from July 31 to August 5, where you can meet our teachers and staff and get ready for the start of the 2025-26 school year. Families are welcome to come and go at their convenience during each open house.

Summer Bridge is a 2 day program to help rising 9th graders get acclimated to the physical layout of the school, meet and form relationships with current SHS students (Storm Ambassadors) and some staff and ask questions to relieve any concerns or anxieties about transitioning to high school. This summer the program will be June 20-21.

The Storm Marching Band recently placed 2nd and won Best Music in Class A at the JMU Parade of Champions. Last month, they performed in the Blast in the Draft competition at Stuarts Draft High School and won 1st place overall in Class A, 1st place in music and visual, 2nd place in general effect, and 3rd in percussion and color guard.
